A comprehensive passive fire inspection was carried out at the new Crown Paints state-of-the-art raw material and packaging warehouse facility at its Hull manufacturing base where we identified defects where M&E services passed through the fire compartment walls, Ablative Coated Batt was installed by our Fire Protection fitters which acts as an air seal barrier to reinstate the fire resistance and acoustic performances. A Firestop Intumescent Acoustic Sealant was used to seals joints and service penetrations within walls, partitions. It was also used to seal joints within party walls to help provide an acoustic seal. Both the Fire Rated Ablative coated batt and Firestop Intumescent Acoustic Sealant provides up to 4 hours fire protection. On completion of works, the client received a comprehensive Passive Fire Register.
